HOLIDAY SEASON GIVING!
Hello: When we think of the Holiday Season, we think of giving to others, especially the less fortunate. In this time of economic disaster, there is a bit of sunshine out there for everyone who gives and who receives. Giving to others doesn't necessarily mean something that costs money, but you can give love, trust, hope, joy, a smile, a moment of your time to listen, a cheerful thought and just being there for someone.
The Blind Center of Nevada gives all of the above, and much more, to the members who are blind and visually impaired. Let us all thank the Blind Center by supporting their programs and their mission through the purchase of a Gourmet Holiday Gift Basket. These Gift Baskets are filled with specialty items and can even be customized to your specifications! Please call (702) 642-6000 or visit our website, listed below.
As said best by Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
So remember, there is joy in receiving, but more joy in giving.

HOT LUNCHES!
Hello: Each weekday the blind and visually impaired enjoy a welcoming environment at the Blind Center of Nevada, and for some, this is their only outlet to make friends and to be with people who care about them.
Lunch is served on weekdays, and for many, this is the main meal of the day. The Moose Lodge of Las Vegas provides a lunch of tacos one day a week which benefits their causes, while providing an inexpensive lunch for our members. This is one of the varieties of services given to members of the Blind Center of Nevada to make each day a little better and know that the community cares about them.
Please remember, doing good for others always comes back to you!

We would like to thank everyone in the Las Vegas community who may have read this and participated in the event. Our special thanks to UNLV and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection. We also want to say thank you to Republic Services for all of their help and support.
As soon as the next event is planned, we will post it.
