THE IMPORTANCE OF DATA ERASURE!
Hello: At the Blind Center of Nevada in Las Vegas, we offer data erasure of all information from the hard drive in your computer.
When you recycle your computer, it is important to remove the data so that no one can retrieve your important personal and/or business information. There have been many identity thefts due to the fact that people sometimes dispose of their computers without removal of their information on the hard drives.
For more information on recycling and data erasure, please call the Blind Center at (702) 642-6000 or visit our website listed below.

PLEASE RECYCLE YOUR E-WASTE!
Hello: The Blind Center of Nevada in Las Vegas concentrates on improving the daily lives of its blind and visually impaired members by providing employment and free services. Employment and free services are funded in part by our computer/electronics recycling business. One hundred percent (100%) of the profits go directly to help the blind and visually impaired.
In order to keep all of the services and programs in place, and to insure employment, the need for old and unwanted computers and other electronics for recycling is an everyday occurrence at the Blind Center. All e-waste is kept out of the landfills in Nevada. We also specialize in hard drive data sanitization and give a serial number report upon completion of the erasure.
If you have any equipment for us to recycle, please call the Blind Center at (702) 642-6000, or visit our website listed below. We welcome your inquiries.
"The case for recycling is strong. The bottom line is clear. Recycling creates more jobs than landfilling or incineration. And a largely ignored but very important consideration, recycling reduces our need to dump our garbage in someone else's backyard." - David Morris of the

LET'S DANCE!
Hello: The Blind Center of Nevada in Las Vegas would like to spotlight a social event that occurs once a week. Every Wednesday afternoon, a variety of dance steps and styles are taught to blind or visually impaired members by one of our professional dance instructors who volunteer their time to this worthwhile project.
This form of social interaction helps to promote better health, a sense of balance, courage to express themselves through dance, and the chance to dance with a partner who understands what it is like to navigate around on the dance floor being visually impaired. Most of all, everyone just has a good time!
For times, and more information, please call the Blind Center at (702) 642-6000.

BUSY WITH COMPUTER RECYCLING!
Hello: This is the last workday of the first full week in 2009. We are extremely busy with our computer recycling and eager to find out what the rest of the New Year will bring. The Blind Center of Nevada in Las Vegas is very concerned about the environment and keeping all e-waste out of the landfills in Nevada. Please keep this in mind the next time you have any computer/electronic equipment to dispose of. Please do not throw the equipment in the trash. Instead, please call the Blind Center at (702) 642-6000 to have the equipment picked up, or to get directions to drop it off at our Center.
Also, don't forget to keep checking our blog and website for details on up and coming events. The events may be convenient for you to drop off any old or unwanted equipment. As stated in yesterday's blog, the next recycling event will be held at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 540 Marks Street in Henderson, Nevada on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The drop-off location will be in the parking lot of Wal-Mart.
